The Louisiana Regional STEM Network is a system of STEM leadership entities strategically positioned across Louisiana, similar to the Regional Labor Market Areas (RLMAs).
The Northwest LaSTEM Innovation Center is the working name for Region 7. It is housed at Sci-Port Discovery Center and includes 10 Parishes: Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, De Soto, Lincoln, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine, and Webster. Dr. Heather Kleiner is the Director.
There are multiple goals of LaSTEM both statewide and within each region. The overarching goal is to connect education to employment. The passionate stakeholders of the North Louisiana STEAM Alliance are the grassroots, roll up your sleeves, boots on the ground, working parts of the region. They work hand-in-hand with LaSTEM.
